After Christmas closet clean out

Photobucket
I'm doing inventory and seeing what I can get rid of. We don't need bigger storage containers. The old toys and nicknack's have got to go. Hoarding stuff is a waist of time. If you are a Thrift Store Shopper this will be easy. Paying so little for the stuff we enjoy and the freedom to hall it all away and not think twice about it, priceless.

how funny, I looked through the childrens toy box the day before Christmas to see if there was any thing that could go. It is so nice to have the freedom to chuck unnecessary stuff. I didn't see any thing this time because it has only been a few months since the last "clean out." But my eyes are searching. I am always on the look out for kids meal toys that only get played with once.

I second giving kids used toys that are in good condition and teach them to value money. If they don't like the toys after a while, it's not so hard on their parents to give them away.

Some kids today can be materialistic. When I worked in Washington D.C., I gave my friend's kids $20 each for Christmas and one of them said that wasn't enough to buy her favorite lego. I think they would hoard toys as they have paid so much for them.

$20 is a lot of money, and to think a
most toys are going for over $25. At Christmas my mother in law gave the kids DVD's and lots of big brand new toys.I feel bad to think she spent so much on my children and I would never want to know how much.
